Title: How to drag a movieclip follow a guideline?

I have a movieclip and a guideline, I want when I drag it up and down, it follow the guideline (up and down), I have used startDrag but it didn't follow the guideline.
Could anybody help suggest a workaround or a fix for this issue?

it wont work with start drag, start drag will just you object with mouse .

I have never used path tweening with actionscript.Using path tweening with actionscript seems to be complex see these links
