Seems like corrupt installation, have you tried reinstalling the extension manager ?

Same problem here.
if i start it, it stays hidden. if i press ALT key, it crashes. BUT: i used to work a while ago.
- I reinstalled it.
- I deleted the config folder ( C:\Users\Nabil\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS5\Configuration ) .. does NOT get rebuild...
- I installed it using the single installer
- i deleted the original folder after uninstalling and reinstalled ...
- killed all processes that are not necessary
- i got upset
any one got an idea ? i am totally stuck and need to install extensions for work.

the problem with adobe products is that they install as a package and share many files that are common to all. SO the files are not in just original installation folder but also scattered among various directories in the system. To my opinion you need to uninstall the complete adobe products in case you are not able to fix with anything else. I just hate installing the complete suite again but this is the last option.

... last time i couldn't even reinstall the suite, had to reinstall windows before the installer would work ...
... and i got A LOT of other software installed. seriously not a good option ...
