flash is a multimedia and animation platform ,used extensively to display attractive animated adds on websites. Its powerful enough to create applications, presentation, audio video applications and animations. Development software for flash are FLash, and Flex.

Some good applications that you must have used is Youtube.com . The video's you watch are displayed using flash.
