Title: animation

Hi.
I'm a flash animator who recently received some files from another animator, needing to finish his work.

There is a character set up with multiple movie clips...head, arms, torso, shoes, feet, ect. He put an outer outline on the character, a thicker "border" than the line width used to draw. It is on a layer called "merged layer", so he seems to have done something I'm not sure how to. How can I do this also without having to change it or draw frame by frame? The animation is done, I just want to add the border outline.

you can add border to any fill object by selecting the Ink Bottle tool in flash. Make sure your drawing object is not selected and also it should not a movieclip, graphic or group . In that case you need to go inside. Just click on the raw object with inkbottle tool and it will create the border with the stroke color selected and the line size that's selected.
