Title: CTO

Typical FMS servers support up to 2K 512kbs video streams (1Gb/s port).

I want to run a server that can handle a full 10 Gb/s port, for up to 20K streams (probably closer to 15K or so). Also running an app for interactive meetings on the server. Any idea what requirements for server (processor, memory, etc)?

capacity of a server depends upon a lot of factors so Adobe never mentions the exact capacity and configuration that's required to run a FMS server at its peak load.

In case of video streaming and application you should test your requirements on a local server with some number of connections like 50 and then analyze the CPU and memory usage on server.

Now increase the number of connections in steps like (80 , 100, 120) and see how much rise is there in CPU and memory consumption. Measuring usage difference between 50 and 150 connection will give you an estimated overhead of 100 connections.

Other way around is that buy server from a provider with upgrade option. So you can later upgrade to higher machine with increased requirement.

FMS support multi processor systems.
