Title: Adobe Air - RTMFP - Is it possible to stream mp3 files from one client to another client?

I want to use Cirrus server to get direct client to client connection with two Adobe AIR clients. One should (preferably) transcode an mp3 into a viable audio stream and send it over. the other one should then play the stream.
Is it technically possible without the need of a Flash Media Server?

not sure about the transcoding part but you can send and audio stream using the p2p technology called Cirrus. It does not require any media server.
